Being upto date in the field of IT is not an easy task, but those who are approaching the market should know or predict what will be the most demanding area in his/her career.
From revising many sites what I have found is:
Web Designing-More paying
PHP,Mysql,JavaScript,CSS- more demanding and more manpower can be consumed
.Net,C#-Little lesser but yet very popular and highly payable
Java and others- Deserving job but still more people afraid to work in this field

Though the interest of one is more important than what is written here.

How long can a developer survive without Google?

How many times did your boss come up with "can we do X?" and you didn't have a clue about it but answered "Yes, no probs at all - consider it done"? You were probably thinking "WTF - I have no idea about this", and first thing you do when you're back and safe at your desk is googling the damn thing up. We can do stuff like that only because developers are merging into a collective intelligence through internet + Google.

Mortality rate (= getting the axe = being let go = being fired) would be dr… Continue

Regular Expressions Cheat Sheet (V2)

Regular Expressions Cheat Sheet The Regular Expressions cheat sheet is a one-page reference sheet. It is a guide to patterns in regular expressions, and is not specific to any single language.

This is the second version of the Regular Expressions cheat sheet. The previous version can be found at http://www.addedbytes.com/cheat-sheets/regular-expressions-cheat-sheet-version-1/.

If you like the cheat sheets, and want to say thanks, please consider buying me something from my Amazon Wishlist. Tha… Continue

Are New Programming Languages Bad?

Creating a new language is fascinating, exhilarating, infuriating and frustrating. But sometimes you end up feeling as though it makes you one of the bad guys...

Ever since my company, SapphireSteel Software, announced that we had begun work on a language called Sapphire (which we are developing for the Dynamic Language Runtime on .NET), we have noticed that a sizable number of people feel that what we are doing must be either a) bad, b) misguided, c) unnecessary, d) doomed to failure or e) all… Continue

Top 10 differences between Java and C#

My latest transition from Java to C# left me scratching my head and scrambling to find the differences. Don’t get me wrong — they are very similar, but some key syntax and philosophical differences set these two languages apart. Below are my top 10 differences that I wish someone told me before I pulled out yet more hair.

Gotcha #10 - Give me my standard output!
Gotcha #9 - Namespaces == Freedom
Gotcha #8 - What happened to super?
Gotcha #7 - Chaining constructors to a base constructor
Gotcha #… Continue
